IYC is open to youth delegates, students, young professionals, educators, civil society representatives, and institutional partners from all countries. The conference primarily targets participants between the ages of 15 to 35.
Registration is required to attend. By registering, participants confirm they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Attendance at IYC is completely free of charge for all registered participants, whether joining virtually or in person. No payment is required to access any session, panel, workshop, or plenary.
In-Person: Delegates are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, visa costs, and personal expenses. IOY does not cover travel or lodging unless a formal scholarship or sponsorship has been confirmed in writing.
Virtual: Online participation is available via the IYC platform. Delegates are responsible for their own internet access and device requirements.
Session recordings may be made available after the conference at IOY's discretion.
IOY offers the following documentation services:
All paid documents are processed within 5 to 10 business days. IOY does not issue refunds once a document has been issued.
IYC is a professional and inclusive diplomatic space. All participants must conduct themselves with respect, integrity, and professionalism at all times, both in person and in virtual spaces.

By registering for and attending IYC14 in person or virtually all participants are photographed, recorded, filmed, and broadcast as part of the conference. IYC14 is a live, publicly broadcast event. IOY streams sessions across its platforms and produces content from all conference activities. Registration constitutes full consent to this.
All conference materials, publications, declarations, and frameworks produced by IOY or through the IYC process remain the intellectual property of the International Organization of Youth unless otherwise stated.
Delegate contributions to working groups and policy sessions may be cited with attribution. IOY may compile, publish, and submit these contributions to United Nations bodies.
IOY reserves the right to modify conference dates, format, venue, or programming at any time. Registered participants will be notified of significant changes via email.
IOY accepts no liability for:
Participants attend at their own risk. IOY's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for optional services.
By registering, participants consent to IOY collecting and processing their data for conference administration, communications, and reporting.
IOY reserves the right to remove any participant at any time, with or without cause, in person or virtually, without refund of any paid services. This includes removal from virtual platforms, sessions, working groups, and the IYC app.
Grounds for removal include violation of the Code of Conduct, disruptive behavior, misrepresentation at registration, or any conduct harmful to the conference or IOY.
IYC is planned, led, and executed by professionals on a pro bono basis, with the support of partners and sponsors where available. IOY staff, volunteers, and leadership give their time to deliver the conference at no cost to participants.
Any participant who directs abusive, disrespectful, or harassing conduct toward IOY staff, volunteers, or leadership, whether in person, virtually, or on any public platform, will be removed and banned from future editions without refund.
IYC in-person editions take place in the United States of America. All participants attending in person, regardless of their country of origin, are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws of the United States.
Cultural customs that conflict with the laws or standards of the United States are not recognized as justification for any behavior at IYC. This includes but is not limited to physical contact without consent. All participants are expected to respect the personal boundaries of others at all times. Violation of this clause is grounds for immediate removal from the conference.
IYC is committed to an inclusive environment for all participants. Discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, cultural background, or socioeconomic status.
Any participant who engages in discriminatory behavior, language, or conduct toward any other participant, staff member, volunteer, or speaker will be immediately removed from the conference and banned from future editions.
